Absolutely amazing! the ladies serving us were so nice and made sure we were always topped up on tea Small detail but the music was lovely in the background and we could still hear each other talk. My parents loved it and would definitely come back again. 5 stars across the board

Great service. Massive portions and stunning homemade cakes.

This was the first time we'd come to the running fox for breakfast, we normally have afternoon tea which is also fabulous. The selection of food was so much it was hard to choose what to have, even with me being gluten free. Had a lovely time, food was fab, service was great and it was also quite busy. We pre booked a table and we're glad we did. I would highly recommend a visit

Beautiful place, amazing food, excellent service. Definitely try one of their combination dishes, we had soup, with pie and a melt. More than enough for anyone. Could not fault.

Came for afternoon tea which was lovely, huge portions and lots of sweet/savory options. Quick service and friendly staff, will be back!

One of my favourite places for afternoon tea. It’s just the best, with so much choice and so much great quality food.

I left a review for one of their other shops recently that wasn't terribly good but I did say it wouldn't put me off visiting their other sites. So glad we did. This is a lovely cafe with a lovely feel to it! There are tables on the ground floor but there is also an upstairs and a few seats outside looking out at the gorgeous bridge. We were met by a really friendly lady as we entered (so sorry we didn't get your name - but I'll describe you as a lady not as one of the girls). It was late-ish on a Sunday afternoon but she was still so welcoming. They still had an amazing amount of goodies and cakes on offer. Service was very quick, coffee was great, the slice of white chocolate and orange cake was massive and the blueberry and coconut slice was delicious! Came to less than 16. So, Running Fox, you have redeemed yourself!! I think the difference between this visit and the Long haughton cafe is definitely their staff - and the parking - and the local area.

Could this be the perfect countryside eatery? Numerous yummy options for our party inc a vegetarian. We had spinach, feta and red pepper quiche, Thai sweet potato and red pepper soup (with large cheese scone), and halloumi and red pepper melt. Plus coffees. And a large mince pie We also bought some delightful greetings cards by a local artist, a locally produced chilli jam, and bought two large slices of steak and ale pie for dinner. And a radio times. We will most definitely be back!
